Marcos Bertucelli is an Argentinean-Italian visual artist and educator who resides in Brussels, Belgium, working in photographs, objects, and texts, and directing the nomadic educational project School for Identity, Inclusion, and Equality (www.s-iie.com).
Marcos graduated as valedictorian from Escuela Nacional de Bellas Artes Prilidiano Pueyrredón (BFA) in Buenos Aires specializing in Painting and Teaching. He also studied Printmaking at Atelier Contrepoint in Paris, Art History at the Facultat de Belles Arts of the Universitat de Barcelona, and Fine Art at the Ruskin School of Art (MFA) of the University of Oxford, where he was the course´s student representative and recipient of the Erna Plachte Award.
Marcos has worked as main studio assistant to artist Guillermo Kuitca and has taught Visual Arts and Art History in primary and secondary school as well as at university level. His work has been exhibited in places such as Modern Art Oxford, Herbert Read Gallery, Centro Cultural Recoleta, Embassy of the Argentine Republic in Berlin, This Is Not A Gallery, Chez Vautier Galería, Braga Menéndez Arte Contemporáneo -Volumen Abierto, Museo de Arte Latinoamericano de Buenos Aires, and Centro Cultural Borges.
